"Oh man, they're gaining on me. I have to get away," thought the young boy as he raced down a crack riddled sidewalk as fast as his weary legs could carry him. Behind him, a group of unhuman, unnatural, otherworldly beings followed him, vaguely human shaped, but different somehow. Some appeared to have more or less appendages than others, some had their proportions skewed beyond recognition; all of them, a sickly, pale, almost-green color. Apart from their many physical differences, they all seemed to have one goal, to catch and kill this young boy. His only sources of light being the flaming cars, the


AftermathThe sun rises over the Earth's horizon the same as it has since the beginning of time, heating it and providing light. Appreciation is not given however. The ground is scorched, the air heavy, and the sky glowing a haunting orange. No movement whatsoever as far as the eye can see, completely still like a photograph, stuck in time. Barren and desolate whatever life that could have been lived would not last long in this world that God has forgotten. Ghostly remnants of structures and the occasional still-standing skeleton of a tree looms in view, a black apple lay at the bottom of it. No person or animal there to eat it, the apple just sits theAftermath
